I've finally managed to find the time (and enough fabric) to cut out my first apron project Woot! - I'm using an old pattern that was in my mom's stash. McCall's 7487 - I'm doing view A.
I found an old full sized top sheet that had a huge hole at the top end and altered the pattern so there would be enough fabric for it.
I haven't had the time to start the sewing end of the project yet .... tho I'm hoping to be able to start tomorrow evening after dinner. :)
I received several of the clothing patterns I'd won on eBay this last week. I had purchased several others at the same time and I expect to get them sometime this week. They are from Khaliah Ali's McCall collection. Looking forward to finding some useable fabrics to practice those with. :)
I also won an apron pattern on eBay that I've had my eye on - McCalls 3979 - it's a retro diner style that is going to be soooo much fun! Tho I've heard warnings about the bias tape edges. I don't believe my mom's machine came with the correct type of foot needed to make the edging tons easier :( .. so I'm likely going to end up doing it the long and tedious way.
But if it turns out anything like the others I've seen, it'll be totally worth the trouble. I can't wait to get that pattern!!
In the meantime ... I'm also scouring the net for other fun crafting ideas and digging thru boxes in the garage to see what all supplies there are ... and *trying* to get some sort of organization going on in there LOL.
anyway .... I'll update again soon.
